AC Repair

Air Conditioning Repair done right the first time

AC Repair

All of our team members are trained to perform routine maintenance and repairs on all the common heating and air conditioning systems. We are here for you no matter when your system breaks. We perform emergency ac repairs when needed and we truly are a 24 7 ac repair company.
We keep a wide selection of parts and stock on hand to ensure that we are equipped to any hvac repair service that face. However, sometimes there are parts that we might not have, it's sad but it does happen a few times each year. Luckily we have a great relationship with our main supplier and as long as they have the part in stock we can get it regardless of the time, without this relationship it would be hard for us to offer emergency hvac services.
We have four main objectives that we try to accomplish with each AC repair:
Ensure that the job is done right the first time.
That no shortcuts were taken, this includes making sure we clean up any mess that we make. Not all ac repairs are created equal!
We commonly see where other companies have made repairs to units and left screws out. On air handlers we see where a lot of repairs are made but the ductwork connected to the air handler is leaking air or when the air handlers are under the house repairs will be made and issues with the condensation lines are overlooked.
We strive to never be 'that' company. When we make a repair we check anything close by to make sure that things are operating and functioning as intended. If the ductwork has considerable leakage we will go ahead and fix it, if it's something major that would be an additional cost we talk to the client and explain it to them, often showing them photos and give an upfront price.
Typically, a lot of what we see being overlooked are simple things that don't have any additional cost associated with them.
Fair and reasonable prices.
Our pricing is fair and reasonable, we don't try to upsell you or oversell you. We do give recommendations when they are needed or asked for; however, we keep those recommendations honest.
If something doesn't make sense financially we will let you know. This ties in a lot with our number 3 objective.
Make sure the customer is happy and the end result is what THEY wanted.
No one wants to do a hvac repair and for some reason the customer is unhappy afterwards. However, I have heard of this happening many times with other companies. The reasons normally always point at 1 single element, price shock! Technician arrives to do a 85.00 service call, finds something wrong, fixes it and gives the customer a bill that is considered to be unfair.
A Trinity heating and cooling customer shared what another hvac contractor did to them. The service call was on special at 69.00, the technician finished within 15 minutes. The charges: Service call 69.00, misc. wiring 239.00, Total 308.00. The client was upset and asked what was wrong with the wiring, the tech explained that one of the thermostat wires had came loose so he had to rewire it.
We never want to be that company, and because of that our pricing is always upfront and simple to understand. Nothing hidden, no surprises.
Treat the client like you would your own family. I consider this to be the companies Golden Rule for doing heating and ac repair.
To truly live up to doing this requires us to do stuff that most other companies wouldn't normally do. This includes being asked for a hvac replacement quote or simply asked to do a hvac installation, but ensuring that the client realizes that the only thing they need is an ac coil cleaning. This scenario has happened a few times.

Frozen AC Unit

Having a frozen AC unit is a major indication of system failure. Often times the issue is a small hole in the system which causes a refrigerant leak. These small holes can occur in the refrigerant lines, condenser coil or evaporator coil. When the unit gets low on refrigerant the air conditioner will freeze.
However, there are many other malfunctions that will cause the system to freeze up including a bad indoor fan, bad condenser fan motor (commonly just referred to as ac fan motor), bad capacitor and sometimes even a thermostat malfunction!
If your HVAC system is freezing up then there's a few things you can do on your own! Make sure your thermostat batteries are good, dead or low batteries will cause AC systems to do some crazy stuff. Check for a dirty air filter, a dirty air filter will decrease your air flow and make your coil frost up. Once the frost starts it's a waterfall effect it just keeps getting worse until everything is a block of ice. This also happens when the air handler fan motor goes bad.
If you have forgotten to install a filter, or if you have major leaks in your ductwork then your evaporator coil could be dirty. A dirty or clogged evaporator coil will cause you AC to freeze, the solution for that is to clean the coil. Coil cleanings normally need to be done by a professional since the coils are inside the unit and power has to be turned off.

Poor Performance & other indications you need service

If any of the following applies to you then you might need your AC system serviced.
  • System runs nonstop
  • Any unusual odors
  • Any unusual sounds
  • High Electric Bill
  • Circuit Breaker Trips

High Electric Bill

f you notice an unusual increase in your power bill there's a good chance that it's linked to your heating and cooling system. Your system should not be running nonstop in order to heat and cool your home. Comfort should always be achievable at an affordable price.
HVAC systems have a SEER rating that will give you a general idea of what the operating cost is. Click here to go to the Energy.gov website that covers information dealing with SEER ratings.
